Basement Extension
Our basement construction service covers the complete structural package, including excavation, reinforced concrete walls and floors, waterproofing, and sump pit drainage – all engineered for compliance with UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
We design and build fully cast in-situ concrete basements suitable for residential extensions, new builds, or retrofit projects. Our standard basement specification includes:
- 300mm thick RC concrete walls and slab (C28/40)
- T12 reinforcement at 200mm centres (horizontal and vertical)
- Blinding layer: 100mm thick C20 concrete
- Waterproofing membrane: 1000-gauge polythene sheet beneath slab
- Optional screed: 75mm with BRC A252 mesh
- Drainage outlet: 4” pipe with optional sump pit provision
- Precast Hollow Core Slab (roof option available on request)
We carry out the full excavation with precision, supported by geotechnical data where needed. The system is designed to handle ground pressure, water ingress, and structural loads — with drawings and calculations signed off by a construction engineer.
